If you own a Folder Permissions Reporting – SecReport Enterprise older version and you wish to upgrade to the recent
release (1.5) please follow these instructions.

How to preserve saved reports configurations
Upgrading SecReport Enterprise Console 'Standalone' mode.

For backup reasons save a copy of "SecReportConfiguration.dat" which its default location is:
"C:\Program Files\Smart-X\SecReport Enterprise.Console".
It is located next to the SecReportEnt.Console.exe executable file.
If you can't find the file that means that the installation folder has been moved or changed during the previous installation.

Install the new version of SecReport Enterprise Console by running the MSI file.
· At "Select Installation Folder" step specify path that is similar to the previous version installation
folder. (by default: C:\Program Files\Smart-X\SecReport Enterprise.Console)
· Continue with the setup of SecReport Enterprise Console new version and complete it.

Now you can enjoy your upgraded version of Folder Permissions Reporting – SecReport Enterprise.

If the configurations were not saved, replace the new SecReportConfiguration.dat file with the one you saved.
By default: C:\Program Files\Smart-X\SecReport Enterprise.Console
Upgrading SecReport Enterprise 'Connected to Web Service' mode product

For backup reasons save a copy of "SecReportConfiguration.dat" which its default location is:
" C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WSSecReport\bin ".
If you can't find the file that means that the default Installation Folder has been changed or moved during the previous installation.

Run your SecReport Enterprise Console's existing version.

Click on

'Global settings'.
· Change the working mode from "Connected to web service" to "Stand Alone"
· Click on

'Save Configurations' and then on
.gif)
'Exit'.

Exit from SecReport Enterprise Console.

Install the new version of SecReport Enterprise Web Service (by running the MSI file).

Run the SecReport Enterprise Console's existing version.

Click on

'Global settings'.
· Change the working mode from " Stand Alone " to " Connected to web service"
· Specify the new installed web service URL
· Click on

'Save Configurations' and then on
.gif)
'Exit'.

Exit from SecReport Enterprise Console.

Install the new version of SecReport Enterprise Console (by running the MSI file)
Note: Choose "Connected to Web Service" Mode during setup and change the URL to the new one as you specified during the web service installation.

Continue with setup of SecReport Enterprise Console's new version and complete it.

Open control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs.

Click on the link to see program information.

Remove the old version of SecReport Enterprise Console and Web service.

Note: If the old configurations weren’t saved:
Paste the SecReportConfiguration.dat file you saved for backup to the following path: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SecReport.WebService\SecReports
or to the report saving path you specified during the Web Service installation.

Now you can enjoy your upgraded Folder Permissions Reporting - SecReport Enterprise.
